Eunuchs - Menace or a subject of systemic failure ?

Recently, a few days ago I was surrounded by a bunch of Eunuchs who happened to visit my house to collect money. In India, this happens to be a thing where Eunuchs come over, give their blessings and in return they take their money. I absolutely despised this particular process, the way they showed me their genitals and used crass language is not a place where I would like to take my blessings from, following an argument for about 45 mins where the Eunuch also offered me 500 Rupees to have sex with him/her which i obviously refused I ultimately had to met out 5000 Rupees to them which left me fuming. But upon deeper introspection, I focused on the why ? After my due research on the internet, I was surprised to see the history associated with Eunuchs in India. Eunuchs are people who have female genitals with secondary masculine characteristics and some undergo voluntary castration, there are cases which point to forced sexual change which is quite sad. Young kids are kidnapped and then are forced to go under surgery made to wear female garments and perform as dancers and are made to earn money. This particular fact made me think What if I was subject to such atrocity ? I would probably go and knock people's door as well and collect money in turn for blessings. Maybe the blessing means "Hope you don't get the life we have received" which is a good blessing to be fair.

An Estimated 5-6 million Eunuchs live in India that is around 60 Lakhs and often live in a ghetto like existence in their own communities. Really Surprising fact - Shabnam Mausi Of Madhya Pradesh is the first transgender to be elected as a member of state legislative assembly.

Today's paper has an article on how third gender people or "hijra" as they are called here, are training for cop recruitment in Maharashtra. After a high court order Trans People are allowed to apply for police recruitments, 73 such aspirants have applied for it. While the police service call for more police officers as the ratio is lacking, more people coming forward is certainly a good sight. Now coming to the main point, coaching institutes refused a candidate (trans) to train because it would negatively impact other students. This again points to the systemic failure where adequate services shall be put in or just a change of mentality can go a long way. Youtube and Whatsapp came to their rescue as candidates started using internet and found a new guru in them. Going for a run early morning to escape creepy stares is evidence of a underdeveloped society. My example is a menace, the example i read today is of systemic failure. Which side are you on ?
